Chapter 12

Veronica's POV.

"No way! I'm not going." I said.

"Oh yes you are! It's for us!" Sammie yelled.

"Hell no! I'll do pranks but you are not bringing me to a party!" I yelled back.

I hate parties. I promised to stay away from any alcoholic beverages after my uncle started to abuse my cousins and aunt. And the last time we went to a party, someone tried to drug Sammie. All because she wouldn't dance with them.

We argued a little more but in the end, Sammie, Faith and Mariah ended up literally dragging me out of the house, kicking and screaming. They threw me in the car and when I tried to get out, they threatened that if I did get out, they would hold me down and let Mariah kiss me. After that.... I stayed in the car. Even after Mariah moved to let me out. We met Justine and Justin there.

"I will never forgive you guys." I growled.

"Oh stop it." Justine said.

"Whose house is this anyways?" Faith asked.

"Noah and Alyson Bryant. But Noah is the host." Justin answered.

"Are you f*****g kidding me?! Alex is gonna b- oh my f*****g god!" I yelled.

"What?" Sammie asked.

They all followed my gaze down the road a little ways.

"Ohhh." Faith said.

"You have to get me out of here! What if she she's me?!" I yelled.

Miss Rivers had just gotten out of her car. Holy f**k! Don't let her look over, don't let her look over, don't- dammit!

"To late." Justin said.

Miss Rivers waved so I waved back. She waved me over and I held up a finger.

"I'll be back guys." I said.

"Where you going baby girl?" Mariah asked.

"I have to ask Miss Rivers a question." I told her.

They all walked into the house. I ran down the road to Miss Rivers.

"Hey!" I said.

"Hey," she smiled. "Should have known that you were going to be there."

"Not really. I hate parties. And clubs." I told her.

"Wanna ditch? You could come inside and we could watch a movie." She said, a hopeful look in her eyes.

"Yes! Thank you!" I said, a little too excited.

She smiled, "lets go."

We walked inside. Her house was really nice. All of her walls were painted blue. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that her favorite color is blue. She also had pictures on her wall. One caught my eye. It had 5 women in it. All beautiful. Miss Rivers seen me looking and smiled.

"Their my sisters. The first born, on the left is Kylee. Second born is Krystal, then there's me. The last two are my younger sisters. They're twins. Konan and Kuro. My parents made up Kuro's name." She told me.

"It's a really pretty name." I said.

"Yeah. Okay. The movie rack is over there. You can pick anything you want. Do you want popcorn, root beer floats or both?"

"Both. I'll help."

"No, it's okay."

"You sure?"

"Positive."

"Okay."

I picked out 'Lake Placid' and walked out into the kitchen. That's when it hit me. I'm watching a movie with my overly attractive teacher. In her house. Oh hell yes! I jumped up next to her and put the movie in her face. She pulled back and nodded at my choice.

"Okay, I'm done. Can you grab the popcorn?" She asked.

"Yeah." I answered.

About half way through the movie our hands brushed. Okay. I did it on purpose. But she doesn't know that! She looked at me and I smiled. She smiled back and glanced at my lips. I started to lean in, closing my eyes, she met me halfway. The kiss was soft and sweet. When we pulled back, we were both smiling. Then realization hit her.

"Oh my god! I'm losing my job! Veronica I'm so sorry!" She said.

"For what? I started it. And your not going to lose your job. Relax." I told her.

She sighed, "where does this put us now?"

"Like where do we stand?"

"Yeah."

"Well, do you want a relationship?"

"Yeah. Kinda. No. Not kinda. I really want to be with you. But no one can know."

"Them we'll be together. No one will know. It will be our little secret."

Katie's POV.

We watched the rest of the movie, cuddled under a blanket on my couch. She had her head on my shoulder and I was holding her close. Then her stupid phone went off. I kissed her head and let her go. I glanced at the clock. No f*****g way was it almost 12!

"Hello..... Already?.... Yeah... Okay, I'll be out in about 10 minutes...... Because I have to take a piss and there are 4 people in front of me..... No.... Kay bye." She hung up and I laughed at her lie.

I stood up and opened my arms. "I'll talk to you tomorrow at school. I hope your friends didn't drink to much."

Veronica hugged me back. "Okay. So do I. But it could be fun. You could keep dropping things. Teach them not to party on a school night."

"Your right baby. Maybe I'll do that."

We kissed again but before it could get heated, Veronica pulled back. "I have to go. I'm sorry."

"It's okay baby. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay. Bye Katie-baby."

"Bye baby girl." I kissed her good night and watched her run down the street, and to her friends.

I smiled to myself. I finally have the girl of my dreams. Now we just had to watch ourselves and not get caught.
