Chapter 7

Veronica's POV.

"Oh! Maybe we could all stay after with you!" Sammie said.

"I can't. I have football practice." Justin said

"And I have soccer practice." Justine said.

"Okay, well, we'll catch up with you after then okay?" Sammie asked. Justin nodded and walked off with the other football losers.

"Bye baby. I love you.; Sammie kissed Justine.

"Love you too. See ya later girls." Justine jogged down the hallway.

"So. Are we going to plan the pra-" Sammie started.

I cut her off, "Hey Miss Rivers!"

She had been walking down the hallway towards her classroom. "Hey ladies. Are you all staying?"

"Yeah. Do you mind?" I asked.

"Not at all. The more people, the faster it gets done." She smiled.

We all walked into the classroom. Alex was sitting on a desk waiting for us. Dumb b***h. We're going to make you go crying to your mommy! Ugh! I hate her!

"Okay. There are boxes in the back of the room. They have books for you guys to read during your free time in them. I need two of you to put them on the bookshelves." Miss Rivers said. "Then I need one of you to put textbooks on each desk. That person will also help me in class tomorrow. And I need one of you that's willing to run down and get copies for me. It will be back to back so be prepared."

"Textbooks!" I said, "I choose textbooks!"

"Okay. Veronica's on textbooks" Miss Rivers laughed.

"I'll do copies." Alex said, glaring at me.

"Ugh! Why am I stuck with the mutt?!" Sammie groaned.

"Work on different sides or something." Miss Rivers said.

Katie's POV.

I watched as Mariah and Sammie went to the back of the room. Veronica and Alex were glaring at one another. I cleared my throat and they both looked at me.

"Where are the textbooks at?" Veronica asked.

"Back of the room on the counter sweetie." I replied. "Okay Alex. You can go get the worksheets that I just printed."

"Okay Miss Rivers." She smiled.

I looked up. Veronica already had a row and a half done. Wow she's fast. I sat down and pulled up another worksheet. Hmmm. Maybe if I can keep Alex and Veronica away from each other then my baby won't get upset. I hit print. Alex walked in and gave me the papers. I said thanks and sent her to get the next pile. 4 or 5 piles later Veronica was done and was helping Sammie and Mariah. I sent Alex out for the last time.

"Veronica? Can you come help me staple these?" I asked, wanting to be close to her.

"Yeah. I'm coming." My baby answered.

I looked up at the clock. 35 minutes to go. Okay. We should be done before that. Then we can have time to talk. The door opened and Alex walked in. Oh. I had totally forgotten about her. Oops. I have Veronica a stack of papers.

"Just go through and whatever ones aren't front to back staple. Okay?" I said.

"Okay." She smiled.

"Hey, Miss Rivers, can I help staple?" Alex asked.

"Yeah sure." I handed her a stack of papers. "This is all front to back. It's three sheets each."

"Done." Veronica said.

"Wow. That was fast. Actually if you want, you can put them on the desks for me. It would be a big help." I told her.

"Okay. Are we doing these when we come in or are we doing them together?" She asked.

"We're going to do them together." I answered her, smiling.

She smiled back. I looked up. 5 minutes? Really? Awwww!

Veronica's POV.

We all grabbed our stuff to go home. Alex was talking to Miss Rivers and Sammie and Mariah were standing by the door, waiting for me. I smiled at them and walked over to Miss Rivers.

"Bye Miss Rivers. I'll see you tomorrow." I said.

"Bye sweetie. I'll see you tomorrow." She said.

I wrapped my arms around her again and she hugged me back. I smiled up at her wanting to see her dazzling smile one more time before I went home. She smiled down at me.

Now to go home and start planning. Alex was glaring at me. Ha! She likes me more! Take that b***h! Mariah, Sammie and I walked out. Mariah wrapped and Arm around my shoulders. Mommy! I ducked under her arm and moved closer to Sammie.

Sammie looked over and smirked, "Calm before the storm huh?"
