Chapter SevenThe shower in the apartment wasn’t anywhere near as powerful or luxurious as the one in my room at the academy, but it definitely helped to take a weight off. Having washed and dried my hair, I ran my fingers through it (in the absence of a brush) and found myself once more glancing in the mirror above the sink. Although Mathew and his gran seemed unfazed by the fact I was a witch, I wasn’t entirely sure that the store’s patrons would have the same view. Hoping that my hair would keep the mark on my forehead well hidden probably wasn’t good enough out in the real world, and so I found myself rummaging in the medicine cupboard. Ahh! Just what I need.
