Chapter TenThis time when Mathew helped me over the fence, he didn’t link his fingers together to make a step as he had before. This time he spun me around, gripped hold of my hips and hoisted me up until I could reach the top bar of the fence. I could still feel several pairs of eyes watching us, but the truth was I didn’t care the moment I felt him touch me again. Instead, I called wind to me and asked it to guide me up and over the fence. A gust of wind practically pushed me up and out of Mathew’s hands. I couldn’t help but chuckle when I heard his startled gasp. The moment my feet were back on solid ground, I turned and looked through the chain-link fence to see him staring at me in astonishment. “Did you just….” He gaped at me, and I felt my cheeks flare even as I nodded.
