My nose couldn't resist the exquisite aroma of breakfast. I opened my eyes and then started to stretch in bed.
I had slept so well that night, I turned to see the leaves of the tree outside the house, smiling at the thought that if I were a child, Ivan and I would probably sneak out of my bedroom window again to go to the amusement park.
I stayed in bed a few more minutes until the aroma of breakfast became so enticing that it forced me to get up and take a shower. I got dressed and packed my bags to return to New York.
When I went downstairs, I went to the kitchen and found everyone preparing breakfast except me.
