Maev paced her bedroom, she was still upset and couldn't get rid of the anger that was building up inside her. She had so many things to be upset about, Zurie, Kramer, and Mara. She could literally feel the warmth inside her body, like she was brewing up lava.
" Why should this bother me! I knew that she is his lover so.. this shouldn't upset me ... but I am!", Maev snapped as she remembered old mother
Fae's words,
Your husband will love, just like you will love him.
" Love him!! Mother Fae you got this one wrong!! So wrong!! I hate him with all my soul!", Maev said out loud.
" And we both know the feelings are mutual!", she heard him said behind her and she stopped walking and stood there with her back turned towards him.
She wondered if he had heard everything or just the hate part. Maev turned and looked at him and she could feel his emotions. Something she didn't feel before, she felt like her body had been transformed into someone else. She wasn't her old self and Maev wondered what was happening to her.Maev wondered if it is because of the presence of Mother Fae's magic inside her. She felt a little bit more stronger and daring, she wondered if she would be strong enough to control all of those magic brewing inside her.
" Something happened to you when you went back to your kingdom. What was it... something powerful.. like you were gifted another gift maybe... I can sense it Maev", Kramer said as he narrowed his eyes and stared at her.
" Nothing happened, maybe I finally found my strength to stand up for my people", Maev answered avoiding his gaze.
Kramer could see by her body language that she was lying and he didn't like that she was keeping secrets from him but he didn't push it as he will eventually find out.He turned and walked out of her bedroom leaving a puzzled Maev since he just left without saying anything.
" We were supposed to have a conversation and he just turn his back and leave !", Maev said and walked towards the door when he reappeared. She walked backward and he stood in front of her.
" Why did you leave this?", Kramer asked and showed her, her wedding ring.
" I don't see the importance of wearing it since you have yours on but you are seeing your lover whenever you want to!", Maev replied and walked further away from him.
Kramer placed the ring on her bed and looked at her,
" Put it back on", he said in an authoritative tone.
Maev looked at him and smiled,
" No I will not!", She said.
Kramer was about to speak when he heard his name being called outside the bedroom.
The person sounded desperate and he hurried out of the room and shut the door behind him locking it.
He had not finished his conversation with Maev and he knew that she could leave the Kingdom.
" Master, Sir Octave needs you in your office right now !", the young man said out of breath.
Kramer hurried down the corridor to his office he knew that it must be urgent if his uncle had sent for him.
Maev tried to open the door but found it was locked.
" What? No, he didn't!.. how dare he lock me inside this room!", Maev thought and at the same time, she wondered what was going on.She closed her eyes and she reversed the magic that he did and she opened the door. Thanks to Mother Fae's magic inside her now she could challenge some of his spells.Maev knew that he must be in his office and she hurried downstairs and walked towards his office looking around for the presence of any of his messengers or bodyguards. The coast was clear as she ran up to the office door, placed her ears against the door, and closed her eyes.
" I can't believe the White Queen Kingdom will do that to us! I'm so furious because we spared the life of one of their kind once! You remember.. that woman who wanted to give all her magic away and she was banished from her kingdom. We let her go into the mortal world .. now this is how they repay us!?", Maev heard a man said angrily and she gasped softly and put her hands over her mouth. She couldn't hold it in she had to walk in there and see what was going on, since that woman they were talking about could be her mother! She had heard the similar story before and she wanted to know more.
Maev stormed into the room and everyone turned around in surprise and looked at her. She could see they all looked at her with anger flashing in their eyes. One of the men even hissed at her flashing his fangs.
" What are you doing here!?", Kramer shouted at her as he stood up from his desk.
Maev felt afraid because those Vampires in there all of them together could kill her in seconds. Together they were more powerful even her magic and that of Mother Fae wouldn't be able to help her.
" I need to talk to you... about what was just said !", Maev replied trying to stay calm.
" So you were listening to our conversation! Are you spying for your father?!", Octave said and the other Vampires hissed at her angrily and she swallowed before she could speak.
" I need to speak to my husband!", Maev shouted regardless if they were all glaring at her.
" I will take care of this. You may all leave", Kramer said.
" But Kramer, we have proof now that her people killed Oliver. What are you waiting for to kill her!?", Octave said to his nephew in an angry tone.
" Proof ?! What proof..?! I don't believe that the White Witch Kingdom has anything to do with Oliver's death!", Maev shouted as her eyes swam with tears.
" Don't you dare mention his name!", Octave shouted at her.
" Enough!", Kramer shouted.
" Leave, I'll deal with her!", Kramer said.
" I hope you finally carried out what you said you will do !", Octave whispered close to his ear and Kramer nodded yes.
As the others left Kramer sat back down and looked at Maev, he clenched his jaw and stared at her. Anger kept building inside him and he wanted to just jump over his desk and kill her.
They found out one of the wizards from her Kingdom who worked for her father was involved in the murder of Oliver but the hunters from the Bloodworth couldn't catch him and he had gotten away from them.
Somehow he had wanted things to be different now he will have to go ahead with his revenge and destroy all of them, to the very last drop of blood.
“Kramer what happened? Don't stare at me like that! I don't believe that anyone from my Kingdom will kill your brother!", Maev said in a pleading voice. She wiped away the tears which were making their way down her face. She was thinking about her father and the people she loved back home. They would all face the anger of the Bloodworth clan and it all depended on her to find a way to stop that war from happening!
