Chapter Thirty
" My lord, you are back early", Adam greeted the King as he entered his office. " We couldn't reach where we were going, those rebels are always one step ahead of us! Damn them!", Kramer said as he slammed his leather gloves on the table. His eyes caught the sight of the envelope on his desk. He grabbed the envelope wondering if she had signed the divorce papers. A soft sadness crept over him and he was sure it was showing on his face as Adam looked at him with concerned eyes. The young man remembered seeing the similar look on his wife's face when he had announced that the King had left the Kingdom. " My lord your wife, she left this envelope on your desk", Adam said still looking at the King with a concerned gaze as he had no idea what was going on between the husband and his wife. "
