Hayden's POV.
"What are we going to do about this?" Alex asked me when we were sitting around my sitting room.
"About what?" I growled out.
"About the search party the cops are creating" Alex continued.
"We don't know for sure about that Alex. For all we know your sources could be incorrect" Zac chipped in.
"My sources are always correct and you know that" he argued.
"There's no telling if they are actually creating one or not untill they actually do it. We have other things to worry about" Zac scoffed out.
"Other things like what? This is highly Important Zac, we need to find them before they find ---"
"Enough" I growled out making both of their eyes snap to me.
"But Hayden-"
"I said enough Alex. You guys leave. I'll come to school in my own car" I didn't have to talk too much before they were walking away. They were always fighting over silly things it was a headache being around them sometimes.
I glanced at the wooden watch on my ash walls and realized how late I was for my first class today. Today so happened to be the day I was going to paint Ivy. I had not stopped thinking about it I didn't know why.
This was not the first time I was requesting to paint a girl, I however could have caredless if the girl showed up or not. But I did care if Ivy was going to show up. I did care if she was even going to accept me when I told her initially.
I didn't know why I was reacting differently to her but I just was. It had been a long time I stopped demanding reasons for my actions. I just did what I thought I wanted to do then and no one dared question me.
I wanted to do an outdoor painting for her because she looked like she could pull it off exquisitely so I went to my garden and prepared all I was going to need before driving to school.
On getting to school, I saw her before she saw me, she was laughing with her friends and she was in a different outfit that I didn't ever think I'll see on her. She looked quite good and curvy too.
I never knew she was that curvy. I didn't really pay much attention to her body at the party the other day. My vision was soon blocked by this particular girl that had been pestering me for a date for days now.
"Hi Hayden" she smirked twirling her hair in her fingers and staring bashfully at me.
"What do you want?" I growled before walking pass her. She followed me like expected. It also just so happened that we had the same class together unfortunately.
"I'm here to get my answer" she said jogging on her steps to catch up with me. I wasn't going to stop for her, if anything I wanted to loose her.
"I've told you your answer is no" I replied already feeling so many eyes on me as I walked through the hallway.
I also hated that she whose name I had completely forgotten was still following me.
"C'mon Hayden. You'll have a nice time I promise"
"He said no sweet Bella" Zac my all time saving grace strolled in placing his hands on her shoulders and making her blush.
I shook my head before walking faster away from them and into my class.
Like usual, I zoned out, my mind kept drifting over to Ivy and the way she looked today. Those fishnet tights she was wearing had to be the best picture on my mind right now.
Ivy looked like someone that didn't know what she was doing but at the same time she did. She also looked like an innocent prude that was also going to be a fast learner. I didn't know why the thought excited me. I shouldn't care about any of that.
I willed my mind to stop thinking about her and how hot she looked earlier. How beautiful she looked smiling at her friends. How her skirt expanded because of her hips and how tight the fishnet hugged her thighs.
I squirmed a little on my seat before clearing my throat and focusing on the gibberish the teacher was saying.

"I want food" Alex whined out before spreading his arm across my shoulders and leading me towards the canteen. Zac was strolling behind us, a sombre look on his face.
"Alex I'm not in the mood for that canteen man. I have an appointment--"
"Yeah with the black haired beauty I know".
"She has a name"
"And when did you start caring about their names. Yo couldn't even remember the name of the girl that was following you all morning" I gave him a look. "Yes Zac told me." I glared daggers at Zac but he only shrugged.
Something must be bothering him if he wasn't arguing with Alex right now.
"I really do need to leave. I have just few hours before she comes" I replied more firm.
"It's just one food Hays, just one f*****g food"
"f**k fine" I gave in before he dragged me into the canteen. As usual the whole place grew quiet when we walked in making all eyes turn to us including hers.
I didn't meet her gaze because it would have been so obvious and despite not caring what anyone thought I didn't want the news about me been a painter to spread, all my works were always anonymous.
Alex did what he had to do and soon we were out of the canteen.
"Did you see the way she kept staring at you?" Zac asked me quietly when Alex was walking forward.
"No why?" I lied. I did see the way she looked at me only that I didn't stare for so long.
Now I was curious.
"I just mean, why was she staring at you like that?" He asked too slightly surprised.
"What do you mean?"
"Like she knew something Hays. Does she know anything?" He asked looking more worried now.
"Get your head out of your arse Zac. What could she possibly know?. I'm out"
"Wait!" Zac stopped me. "We need to do that thing today"
"f**k. Fine. Meet me in the house in the next hour". He nodded.
____
I could not help but keep thinking about what Zac said earlier today. How Ivy must know something with the way she was staring at me. I know it was far fetched but I did feel familiar with her anytime she was close to me. I did feel like I had seen her eyes before somewhere, somehow. I just could not place it.
Of course it could be I was just seeing things that were not there and I was calling my obvious pull to her something else but I couldn't help but feel it was something. And there was the tiny fact that my wolf always growled whenever she was near.
I didn't know what to make of any if it and frankly speaking I was tired of thinking about it. I could only wait to confirm what Zac was talking about when she comes around.
It was two more hours before five. I had told her to wait at the stadium which meant I would have to drive back there. Zac ought to have been the one since he had another class before then but he insisted on having something to do. I didn't pester him into telling me because I knew he would tell me when he wanted to.
My phone vibrated on my table while I was drawing and I glanced at it to find Alex's name across my screen. Internally groaning and just having the simple urge to ignore the call but I picked it anyway.
"What?" I barked out.
"We need to go Hays" he said firmly.
"Alex you know I can't i won't be able to make it on time--"
"They are requesting for you" he cut me short.
"What?" I asked, already rolling my eyes at those boys stupidity. I knew they were going to request for me, they always liked to piss me off.
"I tried to persuade them, I really did. Zac is still even arguing with them but they wouldn't listen-"
"I'm on my way" I said. I didn't let him respond before I was dropping everything and driving off.
I got to the woods in record time and they were indeed still there.
"Aha! Look who I finally wanna see"
"What do you want here Yousef?" I barked out cutting straight to the point. I had just one hour before I had to go pick Ivy. I needed to be quick.
"Why so fast Hayden. We need to talk anyway" Yousef smirked taking few steps towards me. He knows not to come too close because he also knows how dangerous I could get.
"We finished saying all we needed to say Yousef. This is our territory now. No questions asked"
"But we can share just a little bit----"
"I don't like repeating myself Yousef. You and your boys need to leave" I growled, my wolf already getting fed up with his nonsense.
Yousef didn't like my answer. "Does your town even know what you've been up to? How much damage you plan on incurring on them?" He hissed.
"That is none of your business seeing as you don't live here" I shrugged like what he was saying doesn't bother me. It did but he didn't need to know that.
"Ah. That's true. Why not make a pact with me" I gave him a condescending raise of my brow.
"I'm not making anything with you --"
"Alright then. I'll just keep coming back here and creating my footprints and that of my boys to make the police begin their search" he shrugged making my blood boil in my veins and making my wolf want to pounce on him.
"What kind of pact?" I asked seeming interested. I really didn't want the police on my tail and that of my boys so early on, and I know Yousef wasn't one to bark like a dog, at least sometimes.
I only didn't have time. I needed to get to Ivy.
"Now that's what I love to hear Hays" he sneered. "Let's have one final match. Whoever wins has to do anything absolutely anything the other wants"
My heart sank. Fighting wasn't going to get me to Ivy on time. But I didn't really have a choice right now.
"Aren't you tired of this petty games Yousef?" I asked looking for a way out of this.
" Of course not. You know how much I live to fight you. It's the only reason I'm still alive" he snickered. And he wasn't joking. He was always on my case ever since we were at home. Ever since everything went to s**t and even before. He was more like my shadow.
I could see Alex and Zac giving me eyes telling me not to do it, but not doing it would put them in danger and the earlier I did it, the earlier I could go to Ivy which was the most important right now.
"Fine. Let's do it".
