Ivy's POV.
"Did you hear the news?" Asher asked me.
I turned over to him in surprise, I guess he was really dating Betty after all.
"What news Ash?" I mused.
"They said a cop was killed" he whispered.
"What?" I shrieked quietly. Was that the reason my uncle canceled family dinner yesterday?
Shit!
"What is the cause of death?" I inquired further. Ash simply shrugged and gave me a flat look.
"Your uncle is a sheriff Ivy. I should be asking you" I rolled my eyes but I could deny how right he was.
I had even been excited that my uncle had canceled our family dinner yesterday, I wasn't in the mood after my almost interaction with Hayden in the literature hall. I hadn't even bothered to ask his reason for cancelling knowing fully well he never cancelled.
I felt quite awful.
