Ivy's POV
I looked to my right to find Betty panting and beside me. I furrowed my brows at her.
"Where have you been? I have been searching for you everywhere" she breathed out, her breathing coming out heavy and she was hunched over.
"Were you looking for me?" I asked, my back still glued to the cold wall outside.
"Yes of course. You just ran off" she said eyeing me warily.
I sighed and averted my gaze into the dark streets. It had gotten relatively dark out and I just wanted to go home, but I knew I couldn't, no when I hadn't see him yet. I mean he did invite me right? I have to at least see him just once before leaving.
Or maybe that was what I kept telling myself to cover for the constant ache growing in my chest.
