'We Meet Again'.

1996 Words
Ivy's POV The house of the party had to be the coolest most extravagant house I had seen in all of Crudetown and Pintone. It was really big and mansion like. It was on the brightest side of Crudetown and it made me wonder who owned this house and how much money they made. "Damn Ivs. Imagine what waking up in this kind of house will feel like" Betty mumbled beside me. We had arrived at the party for close to five minutes now but we still stood outside it's gate, our eyes bulging out of our sockets as we took in the magnificence of the house. It had white walls and looked to be a two story building. The windows were made of glass and were almost standing as a wall. I bet the view from up there would be amazing. Two drunk girls came out of the large black gate giggling which made Betty and I come down from our daze. She walked in front of me and I followed after her. I wasn't the party type in the slightest and it wasn't about to change. I was here for two reasons. One: because Betty would not let me rest if I didn't come and, Two: because of the letter. I could not deny the exhilarating feeling I got when Betty passed me the red envelope. It looked mysterious and I was extremely curious on what was inside. The words were still ringing in my head, I could even remember the slouching of the ink and the full stop and commas in the sentence, that was how it had been itched in my brain. The party seemed to be a garden party, the place was packed but there was still a lot of space in the garden, that was how big it was. I scanned the environment noticing few faces from my classes and the rest from school. I bet the whole of Bringston was here too. Everyone was intrigued about the three new boys. Every girl wanted to date them, every guy wanted to be their friend. I could spot the other two interacting with people and shouting but I didn't see him anywhere. My eyes moved again, checking every boys face but he wasn't there. He wasn't in the room because I knew that if he was, the whole eyes of the room would be on him. My stomach churned at the possibility that he wasn't going to come but I couldn't dwell much on it before Betty was pulling me deeper into the party. Lots of eyes turned to us, to Betty especially. She was drop dead gorgeous and a lot of guys wanted to date her and we hadn't even been in Bringston for up to a month. I walked behind her so that I wouldn't loose her in a place like this, we took some drinks that the waiters were passing around. The party was the first of its kind. It wasn't like those indoor parties that normally took place in smaller rooms with only liquor available. This had a touch of class and high school. If not for the simple outfits of skimpy gowns and skirts girls wore, or the shirt and trousers the boys wore, I would have confused it for a rich mans party. The vibe was different too. I scanned the room one more time still searching for him and I found him. He was standing so tall close to the sliding glass door that led inside. His eyes were looking everywhere until they met mine. My heart skipped as we exchanged eye contact for the first time in days. He eyed me down, and I did so to him too. He was putting on a pair of black silky pants and the same type of shirt, black and silk. His front buttons were undone revealing his chest and the cross chain around it. He had tattoos on his chest too. I raised my eyes to his face, from his pink full lips that had a ring on it's lower one to his perky nose that also had a nose ring on it, to his eyes. I could not tell the color from here but I remembered them to be a piercing green. He was indeed a masterpiece and I wasn't the only one thinking that. This was the first time he was revealing his face and everyone was staring at him. Every single person here but he didn't pay any mind to them. His eyes were still on me making me fidget on my feet and making my heart beat so fast in my chest. His hair was weaved down to the back making his face more pronounced. He took steps to me, or rather to my direction and my breath hitched. I didn't like how I was reacting to him. This wasn't my first rodeo but this felt different. I didnt know how to explain it. My eyes didn't waver away from him as he continued walking, his own eyes on me too. It was as if we were competing on who would back down first. I so wanted to cower from his gaze, his scrutiny but I was stronger than that. His movement were stopped however as one of his friends approached him and whispered in his ear. He didn't turn to look at his friend, his eyes were still on me making me want to run, but he stopped and listened. After some seconds, he whispered something back to his friend before looking at me once and then turned to leave. My heart twinged, and my eye brows raised. Where was he going?. I wanted to go after him and demand the explanation of his letter but I didn't want all eyes to be on me. Everyone was watching him until he was no longer seen. "f**k. Who the hell look as beautiful as that Ivy. Oh my f*****g v****a". I had forgotten Betty was behind me all these while. "Did you see his eyes? And his hair, oh my gosh did you see the rings on his fingers, lips and nose? God. He's my dream man Ivy, he is". My stomach backflipped at her words, I didn't understand the way I was feeling hearing her but it wasn't good. It wasn't me at all. I snatched another drink from a passing waiter and gulped it in one go. "Damn girl" Betty praised. "I guess he got you worked up too huh?" I smiled a forced smile at her, my mind still reeling and coming down from the past ten minutes. I was still scanning the whole place, still waiting for him to show up but he didn't. He didn't leave my head either, his penetrating gaze, his spotless beautiful face, his broad shoulders and his tall structure was all I could think about as Betty and I danced. It had been over an hour now and he still hadn't come back. I was tired of dancing and standing for so long on my feet so I left Betty to go sit somewhere. There weren't many many chairs but I could spot one at the far corner and ran to it before someone else did. I breathed a sigh of relief after my behind touched the porched chair bringing my ankles to massage them. The party was still in full swing and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I was too focused in my thoughts I didn't hear the voice that cleared beside me until he spoke up. I shrieked flinching slightly before I glanced at the figure hovering above me. It was one of his friends. He smiled down at me before squatting to my level. My brows were still raised in confusion and my hand still clutching my chest from fright. "Can I --- Can I help you?" I breathed out. "I'm Zac" he replied still grinning before he stretched his hand to me. I eyed his hand skeptically before joining mine to his. He released me still smiling what other girls would call a pant dropping smile. All these boys were indeed handsome. I wondered if they were related, but I guess not, they weren't any much resemblance between them. "And you must be Ivy". He continued. "How did you know my name?" I asked sharply shifting my body away from him inadvertently. He smirked after noticing it. "Who do you think drop the surprise at your door?" He asked with a raise of his brow. I didn't answer, I couldn't but my face must show how surprised I was, because he simply laughed. "I would love to stay and chat with you but I'm afraid I have to take you somewhere". "I'm not going anywhere with you" I scoffed like he was crazy. He didn't react to my outburst instead finding it funny. I guess he was the cheerful one in the group since he was always smiling. A beautiful smile might I add. "I'm not going to hurt you Ivy. I'm only doing as I'm told" he grinned. "Told by who? And why should I trust you?" I bit back. "Well if you'll follow me you'll see who sent me, plus if I wanted to hurt you I would have done that since. I'm the organizer of the party after all". He replied his smile still present on his lips as though I wasn't interrogating him. He was making a point but I didn't say anything. "Look Ivy. I don't have all day alright? And he hates when one keeps him waiting" Zac turned serious now, all shades of smiles and laughter gone. He looked completely different it was concerning. "Who is he?" "I'm sure you know who I am talking about and I'm sure you want to meet him too. Can we just make it a little but faster? I don't want to get beaten tonight" and his grinning was back. These men were confusing. "Are you afraid of him? I thought he was your friend?" At my question, Zac laughed, not from being entertained but like what I had said was downright crazy. Now I was indeed curious. He glanced down at his watch and somewhere into the party before looking back to me. "I'm afraid we have to leave now" he replied firmly. I took in a deep breath before standing up, he stood up from bending too and he turned to walk behind the house. I followed him but not before glancing back at Betty. She seemed to be having a nice time. I skipped to march his long strides as we turned round another corner. My eyes kept on surveying the house. It was indeed beautiful and really massive, I couldn't even describe all I was seeing because Zac was walking too fast. We finally got to a black door and Zac stopped. I stopped as well then he turned to face me. "I'm afraid you are going to be on your own now". He said. "Wait what?" "Just knock on that door". He shrugged and then he was off. I called out to him but he didn't stop to listen. I turned around scanning my environment again, my heart beating so fast in my chest. I stared long and hard at the door expecting something to jump from behind it but nothing did. I took several deep breaths and walked closer to the black door, I fisted and loosened my hand severally before I raised it to the door. I knocked three times, no answer. I placed my ears on the door to check if I could hear anything but nothing was heard. I huffed then knocked again waiting for a response, when I wanted to knock again the door screeched open, my fist in the air and my heart in my mouth. There he stood, his brows raised and a passive look on his face. "You came".
