Samantha’s POV I spun around, and Mum stood by the doorway, her hands on the frame. She sighed and walked over to my bed, patting the space beside her lightly. “Do you think I wouldn't notice my daughter sneaked out?” My lips parted but closed immediately. There was no point denying it; the window was open, my heels were on the floor, and Alec’s jacket hung loosely on my shoulders. I swallowed. “I just needed a breather.” She arched a brow slightly. “Breather? From what exactly, Samantha? From me?
