Extremely startled, the house hold stared at Andy, who stared at Christian vulgarly, scanning every bit of him. They were unable to interpret her reaction and watched her recuperate from her shock. Realizing herself she collapsed on the ground, picking up the fragments from the China wares. Fear overcame her and she feared for the near future. The part where she will be fired for breaking one of the law of the mansion.
Unable to absorb Andys deplorable attitude, Selena sprang up and protested vociferously against her. The atmosphere was still, alone, Selenas voice echoed at all corners and Andy could hear her walking towards her. "I totally was against bringing in rookies and here we have one. An unstable, indigent low class." Her words were spikes and it stung Andy who tried to conceal her agitation.
She had ended everything, stepped on Scales goodness because of a false imagination. She had never seen Christian before, nor had she even really caught a glimpse of him. That day she freed all thoughts that she had seen an Angel. But why did he look exactly like that figure, who dazzled her momentarily with his incandescent white, luminously invading her despair? That question was nothing she could answer. She recollected herself, listening to Selenas words.
"Such a mistake had never happened before" She was saying to Christians sister Alicia. "Pick up your bags and leave. We never accept insolent acts and inaccuracy"
"And why would she leave? It was only but a slight mistake" Christian said. Andy could view his black shoes which gleamed, right before her eyes. "There must be a reason for everything" He said to Selena.
"That's so true. Come take a sit and have breakfast in peace" Gold Goodwill suggested before burying his head in the papers again.
Not backing down she still voiced "But we never tolerate in....... "
"Can you say you're perfect?" Christian questioned her and she paused unable to utter a word, anger lingered in her eyes. Getting the reaction he wanted without an answer, he looked down at Andy. "Get on your feet" He ordered.
She wandered why he would side with her but felt elated, still her job was safe. She was afraid of looking into his face, dreading to see those eyes, which glittered. She got up slowly picking up the tray, but her head was bowed modestly. Was she to apologize or just stand there silent until ordered to leave? She contemplated. Or was she to thank Christian for his kind gestures over her and how he impaled the despicable Selena with his words?
"Look at me" His voice contained magnetism which could attract any eyes to his face and because of the temptation he possessed he cajoled her into staring in his eyes. "You acted suspiciously. Have we met?" His eyes contained compound tint of grey, gold, brown and black and it astonished Andy. His eyes definitely proved that he was heavenly, followed up with his brown hair, trimmed to an equal shape above his brows and it curled, circulating to the back of his neck and above his ears in a clean manner. His skin was flawless with a healthy sheen, building up his huge structure and his height was domineering. He looked like an authoritarian figure and his expression was strict but flexible due to the situation. He was a clear defination of Immaculate.
"Why did you react so when you saw me?" He asked and Andy found it impossible to explain. She adopted lies.
"I'm so sorry sir. I had mistaken you for a lost friend" Her eyes diverted to the grime on floor and she derived another piece of lie. "Who died years ago"
Christian stared at her, his eyes not having any prominent emotions to back up her words. It was as though he knew what she had just done and quickly his expressionless countenance diverted to disappointment. His colourful eyes dim and she heard his voice "You lie".
She was about defending herself by making up more stories of her nonexistent friend when it strucked her. He uttered those words without moving his lips but she heared him clearly. It was so impossible for her to analyze. It was as if he communicated to her telepathically. No it wasn't true, never could he had done that, perhaps she didn't look up quickly to find his lips moving. She had notioned that he was an angel and now she's thinking he's telepathic? She waved her thoughts away.
Without uttering a word as confusion, flowed through her, she watched him turn back and strolled to his seat beside Gold Goodwill. "Go clean that up and never repeat such a terrible slip" He sat down and his father placed aside the papers and picked his cup.
Andy felt as though his words directed to the lies and not her clumsiness. He looked bitter when she lied.
"He called me a liar" The staff sat late that evening having a chat at the servants lounge and her colleagues, praised Christian of his benevolent attitude and his unrealistic way of handling substantial matters but Andy had a different point of view. "His gaze was insulting"
"How dare you?" Beck gasped "How dare you insult such eyes" She gazed into space as if imagining herself in a different world. "I've always being imagining what would make all the staffs go haywire over a guy. Now I think I'm having same feelings. Christian will make a fine lover"
"Snap out of it" Scott said laughing at her words. "He never called you a liar" He went aback to Andys words.
"He did" She scowled. "He said 'You Lied' What if I had a dead friend?"
"But you never did. So you lied" Scale joined.
"Anything to save my job" She muttered.
Scale observed her for a bit. Andy was never clumsy or could trip over a guy and it astounded him. "Why did you panic when you saw him?" He asked her.
Unable to answer his questions she yawned. "It was a slip just like he said. My palm was oily. I'm dizzy, I don't want to make anymore mistakes so I'm off to bed" She quickly got on her feet looking down on Scale who sat beside her. "Good night" she said slowly and without waiting for a response she scuttled away from their presence and climbed up the stairs leading to the room she shared with Beck.
She couldn't bring herself to explain her view of Christian once as an Angel, so running away would spare her from their disturbing laughter afterwards.
She pushed the door leading to the dim lighted room and staggered inside. She took off her shawl, tied her hair in a messy bun before sitting on her bed. She scanned the room as if it was the first time sleeping there, because the shades of the old furnitures highlighted an impression of strange beings peeking at her and that moment she felt a presence. The darkness of the room escalated as if the light bulb on the wall did not bring forth its poor beam. Or the window revealing the vast plain after the mansion and the prodigious appealing courtyard below. She felt goosebumps on her skin and fear lingered in her heart. The weird feeling she gets had improved since the last few months and she lacked knowledge on how to rid herself of it.
Her phone rang and she stretched to the bedside to pick it up. It was Trance, her ex boyfriend and no matter how she tried not to answer it, she wanted to. Despite all the torment he had afflicted on her physically, she still craved for him. She could remember how Scale got furious over the phone when he viewed her bruises and wanted running down to Austy ignoring his work. She begged him to stay and promised to break up with Trance and that was how they ended. Still she felt good whenever she looked up her phone to see his name.
"I'm doing great don't bother........ I'm not at Austy anymore........ I'm not telling you my location......... Scale didn't ask me to hide from you, its my choice... "
Appearing in a hood over a flowing black robe, Trance watched her quietly. She seemed engrossed in the conversation, laughing at intervals, fidgeting on the bed and biting her lips seductively. He found pleasure in calling her up from his mind, then discourse about trivial matters, watching her yearn for him. Then lastly after the call, he was would go ahead to touch her flirtatiously, untill she was tempted and give in to him. Then she will wake up at dawn, thinking all love making was in a dream.
He was satisfied when she dropped the phone down and flopped back into the bed giggling. She cuddled her pillow and whispered "I missed you" And those words were a positive sign that she needed him. He was only an agent, whose purpose was to lure her to death and the right way was enticing her with her sexuality.
He loved torturing her, her will of not complying whenever he wanted to bring her to the dark side enraged him and he punished her physically by striking her, in the thinner dimension; the world of the spirits, by being sexually satisfied by her. He knew one day, he would take her to her tombstone, with her home underneath the ground, dug and ready.
He was practically moving towards her, when he felt a force, a burning sensation, a grip on his soul, and a pull which drew him back against the wall. His entire body was pummeled by the sudden reaction and he felt as though his body would tear apart, as an invisible hand strangled him. Unable to hold the pain anymore, he vanished, a heavy wind, blowing out of the half opened window. The cold breeze gave Andy a pleasurable feeling and she smiled in her sleep. For it was a hot day.
Christian appeared from the darkness, his muscular strong and built bare body in sight, but right behind him were wings which flare across the room. His presence brought light with it and the darkness was sabotaged. Everywhere was still as he progressed towards her, he stopped and looked upon her before laying his hand above her. "Good dreams"
