Chapter 40Pete's room was only four doors down from ours; he and his two men were booked into a suite. A couple, with a small child and a nasty ghost, exited the room next to mine. The boy was clearly ill, walking slowly and painfully. The father leaned down and picked him up, cradling his sick child like only a parent can do. I looked the ghoul in the eyes and shook my head as I walked towards them, stabbing her with my finger, getting a spectacular jolt and telling the family to have a nice evening.
