I hadn't mentioned Kat's persuasive talents to Billy, but Garrick had confirmed that both of his former partners were capable of such influence, and of course confirmed that Kat was one of them, probably Melaney. Not only that, he'd volunteered the information about the locket, and again, if he was up to no good, I doubt he would have shared that.
