Chapter 16In George's Burke's Hotel letter he mentioned tire trouble, passing through Boone, Iowa, and seeing the double of a person he'd known from home. He wrote he'd been getting ready to take a photograph of the Burke's Hotel and the person walked into the frame. The diary had a few pictures in it, and I recalled seeing one with a hotel building in the background. I flipped through until I found it. It appeared to have been taken from across the street, which caused portions of the photo to be less than focused. Several people milled about in the background, but only one man was in the foreground.
