Alice’s POV I am about to step out of the car and head back inside when the storm suddenly erupts....violent, unforgiving, almost as if the sky itself is angry. The wind howls, rain lashes against the windshield, and within seconds, I’m forced to stay put. I sink back into my seat, wrapping my arms around myself. So this is it? This is where I’ll spend the night… or the day… or however long this storm decides to rage? A shaky breath escapes my lips. “Oh, Alice… what have you done to yourself…” I whisper, my voice barely audible over the storm. Between the exhaustion, the chaos of everything happening, and the thought of Evans probably trying to reach me, my eyes grow heavy. I fight it at first… but eventually, sleep drags me under. I wake up with a slight jerk. Silence.
