Alice’s POV I drop my phone, my heart suddenly racing, and hurriedly throw on my clothes. My hands are slightly shaky as I grab my keys and rush out. Within seconds, I’m in my car, the engine roaring to life as I speed off to the location Evans sent. When I arrive, I spot him immediately. He leans casually against his car, scanning the area. The moment he sees me, he straightens and gestures for me to come over. I park quickly and step out, shutting the door with a soft thud before walking toward him. “Get in,” he says, already opening the passenger door. I hesitate for a split second, then nod and slide into his car. He joins me, and without another word, we drive off. Hours pass. The silence between us grows heavier with every mile, my mind racing with unanswered questions
