‎Victor’s POV ‎His last statement doesn’t sit well with me, and the unease crawls under my skin. I don’t even think twice. I head outside immediately to look for Alice. ‎The party is already in full swing. Music hums in the background, laughter spills from different corners, and guests are seated, all eyes drawn to the stage where Alice’s dad is already speaking. ‎I spot her. ‎She’s seated quietly, almost withdrawn from the celebration around her… and she’s crying. ‎I slow down as I approach, confusion knitting my brows.
