Playing Ryder’s tricks again.
After the alarming nature of Mr Magimatticus’s tour, I knew that music would be the only antidote to soothe my soul. Nothing else would work.
By the time I arrived at Jade’s house, she had set the gig equipment up. There wasn’t much else to do except wait for the guests to arrive.
I wondered how Jade and Emily would cope with Ryder. Merlin’s revelations and the twin doors had disturbed me. Jade didn’t know what, or who, she had been involved with. Ryder sounded as if he had a key to Mizeria and lived in Phos. I hoped he wouldn’t drag Jade through that door with him, cave-dweller style, and club her into submission.
