It took forever,
But now I know who I am,
It’s who I can be,
A mighty magic being,
Will I deserve this honour?
I felt anxious about visiting the cottage after Jade’s unpleasant experience, but it welcomed me with open arms. The cottage appeared out of the hard earth in one steady movement, churning the ground with a gentle sound, as if nothing impeded its way. It rested, twinkled, and gleamed, waiting for me to approach. The rose petals opened, demonstrating their fullness, colour and wonderful aroma. The front door was ajar, and the welcoming mat lay on the doorstep, its bristles perky and bright.
Leanne was dusting crystals as I entered. “Thank heavens you’re all right, Amelina, I was so worried about you.”
