Amelina sleeps,
I so long to wake her up,
Don’t play with magic,
Shadow might be our saviour,
Life is full of surprises.
The stress of Amelina’s current state had dragged Eleanor back screaming to where she’d been before. She’d become this haggard, middle-aged-woman with dark shadows framing her eyes. As she stood in front of the mirror, a strange woman stared back at her. It must have brought back sad memories of her family’s struggle. She didn’t want to be that sharp-tongued person of the past.
It frightened her to stare at her own reflection, to remember those terrible times.
