The sun beat down on her as she walked through the fields, waving at random pack members. She was surprised at how easily they had accepted her here. Maybe it was her work ethic that impressed them. She didn't mind getting her hands dirty or working hard. She liked the work; it distracted her from the fact that she hadn't seen or heard anything from her brother in weeks. He hadn't kept his promise to attack this pack, which could mean so many things. He could be dead by now. He could have misused his powers, or he might have overestimated her value, and the council didn't want her anymore.
