MISSION SUCCESSFUL

“The system requires you to be ruthless, uncompromising and deadly. That's the only way you can fulfill your role.” The system's voice finally softened, as he sat on the sofa and picked up a magazine. However, he was in no mood to listen to any more of the system’s nonsense. Just then, he heard footsteps walk into the longue where he was sitting, making him look up. It was Leah and the manager, alongside two new sales attendants who were struggling with the numerous bags containing the things they bought. “Wow!” Alvin whispered, as he watched the newly transformed girl. She no longer looked like the messed up gutter rat he picked up a few hours ago. She was dressed in a designer skirt and top made of the softest pink cashmere, she was wearing a pearl necklace, a silver colored shoe to match her necklace and her soft skin, silver colored purse, a bracelet made of diamonds, and a beautiful pink strap leather watch which looked very expensive. Her hair was styled to perfection and she had a little makeup on. Perhaps it was the make up, but her cheeks were pink. She was blushing and nibbling her lips, while trying to avoid Alvin's eyes. Her black hair was properly styled and held with clasps, revealing her tender neck and ears. Her lashes were well groomed, framing her brown eyes. She looked like an innocent wealthy princess. Her attire was appropriate for her age, beautiful and alluring, but not too revealing or slutty. Her skirt stopped mid thigh though. “Young master, are you satisfied with our work?” The manager asked smugly and winked at Alvin, noticing how his gaze never left Leah. “Very satisfied. You guys did an amazing job. She looks breathtaking, I'm glad she's back to her normal princess self.” He whispered and smiled back at the manager. Leah walked to Alvin who had gotten to his feet and stopped a few steps away from him. He smiled and pulled her closer, making her look up at him. Her brown colored eyes met his deep russet ones, and he smiled at her. Alvin cupped her face and kissed her forehead, in a chaste manner. “Big brother will protect you. You don't have to worry about your late parents, I will hold your hand and provide for you, alright? I just want you to keep smiling like you did just now.” He whispered, and wiped off the little tear that dropped from her eyes. Alvin pulled Leah behind him, and looked at the manager who was still maintaining a professional distance away from them, watching their exchange. “You did a good job with my little sister. How much is the balance?” Alvin asked with a smile, looking up at the manager. The manager did not reply for a while. She was mesmerized by Alvin’s transformation, and couldn't look away from him, same with the rest. He looked charismatic and powerful, as if there was a halo around him. He looked incredibly sexy and breathtaking. He wasn't dressed in colorful clothes, but the darker richer shades he wore suited him and matched his eyes perfectly. “Manager? I'm talking to you. Is the money deposited enough?” Alvin asked again. The manager cleared her throat and smiled, embarrassed that she was caught staring at the handsome man before her. “The total is four million, eight hundred thousand. There was a little extra on top, but we rounded it up since you guys patronized us a lot this morning. The balance is two million eight hundred thousand.” The manager said, flashing her perfect white teeth at him. He nodded and offered her the card. “Make it three million to round it up to five million total.” Alvin was smiling, but his heart was aching at the amount he had to spend on clothes, skin care and accessories. ‘When did women’s clothes get so expensive? Just these bags they're carrying already swallowed this much money. Imagine if I went for the special designers auction, won't I spend my entire fifty million on it?’ His calm smile didn't give away how he was truly feeling. All the others saw was a confident man waiting for the card swipe to be done, not the mourning Alvin. “You have to get used to it. Soon, you will be wearing clothes worth tens of millions of dollars. These ones that are worth just a few hundred thousands, and tens of thousands per one won't be worth mentioning by then.” The system whispered to him, as if trying to cheer him up. “Payment successful.” The machine announced. The two assistants who the manager called couldn't help but sneak one more peek at him the moment the payment was marked successful. The manager gave him back the card and smiled at him, watching him slip it into his breast pocket. “Thanks for your patronage. Young master, what do you want to do with your balance of two hundred thousand dollars?” The manager asked with a smile. “Please, send for that security guard who was standing when you came in back then. The one who refused to join in the fight.” He quickly said, not hesitating at all. The manager frowned, wondering why he would suddenly send for the security. However, she immediately obeyed without asking questions. Within three minutes, the security returned upstairs and walked to the manager. “Madam, you sent for me.” He whispered and bowed his head in deference. “No, the young master was the one who sent for you.” The manager quickly clarified. He turned to the direction the manager pointed at, noticing the transformed Alvin for the first time. “I just want to commend you for standing on your principles. Despite the risk of losing your job, you refused to bully others. That's admirable. You refused to compromise your conscience.” He whispered and patted the man. “Manager, you asked me what I wanted to do with the two hundred thousand dollars balance. This friend's shoes look a bit old, I want him to use the two hundred thousand to shop for clothes and shoes. If there's a balance afterwards, he could use it to buy groceries from the grocery department. Do help him. Although it's not much, I hope it makes a little difference.” Alvin said and patted the man. The man stood there, stunned and unable to react. Alvin walked past him, alongside Leah, making his way out. The manager quickly followed him. “Young master, this is our supreme VIP card that allows you access to the best service in any Starlight mall. Please, come again.” She whispered and offered him a golden card. Alvin accepted it without looking at it and slipped it into his trouser pocket. “Ding! Mission successful. Prestige point has been increased to twenty five percent, ten percent more than what the system initially asked for. Withdraw your rewards now.” The system suddenly announced, making Alvin's footstep to halt.
