As the soldier regained his footing, Said, seething with pain and fury. When he tried to punch her, she grabbed his arm and shot him at close range, killing him instantly.
Before she could regain her balance, the weakened glass beneath her gave away, sending her crashing to the ground below.
She landed with a painful thud, crying out as pain shot through her body. Despite the agony, she forced herself to stand just as more guards closed in.
Meanwhile, Daniel had managed to fend off his attackers and took the lift down to reach her. As he emerged, he immediately moved to support Saidi.
During their retreat, one guard fired a shot aimed at her, but Daniel leaped in the way, taking the bullet in his arm to protect her.
Saidi wasted no time and used a makeshift bandage by using her jacket to stop his bleeding.

Finally, as the danger subsided, they sped toward the safety of their hotel. Though relieved to have successfully secured the chemical, Saidi couldn’t shake her concern for Daniel.
