Art class. I've loved art all my life. Although until I left the palace I've never actually been able to draw or paint anything. I was sat staring at the canvas in front of me. I genuinely had no idea what to paint. It didn't help that I was very nervous that it would end up looking terrible while everyone around me seemed to be professional. "Stuck?" Came a voice "Huh?" I asked confused turning to the boy next to me. He had dirty blonde hair and green eyes. Rather good looking if I do say. "You look like you don't know what to paint" he smiled "Yeah, I'm not really an art student so I'm a bit bewildered. Everyone else seems so good" I stated "Am I babbling?" I accidentally said out loud. What an embarrassment He laughed slightly which made me feel slightly less awkward somehow "Don't worry I'm not that good at art either, just pretend no one else is here. Just paint freely" he told me "Good advice" I complimented He picked up hid paintbrush and began painting something...and by something I really mean something. I couldn't tell what it was. I watched as he flicked the paintbrush delicately. "Done" he concluded I was still sat there trying to figure out what is was "It's a cat sat on top of a wall next to a tree" he stated "Oh yeah I already knew" I lied "I was joking, it's a piece of cake" he laughed I laughed as well not knowing if it was a cake or not. It looked truthfully like a bunch of splattered color. "The names Lucas" "Rosalie" "How's being new?" "It's surprising not too bad" "That's good" I nodded agreeing before the teacher Came over. "Lucas, your painting" she began "Ugh, yeah I know. Miss I have to be excused now but I'll come back later" he explained "Sure, just come back like your usual self and not like what ever this is" she called after him "So Rosalie, do you like art ?" She asked "Yes but I haven't had much experience" I admitted "Well good job you sit next to Lucas, he will help you a lot" "Really?" I asked in disbelief "Oh yes, I don't know what's going on with that" she said pointing to the used canvas "but he's an amazing artist. A* student to be exact. Well they are his paintings all over that wall" Looking up at the wall I was utterly shocked. Each painting beautifully hand crafted, they were so well detailed and breath taking. "Wow. Amazing indeed" "I like you, you see true beauty" she stated before walking away. I still couldn't wrap my head around the difference in the paintings. The thought of him painting badly just to make me feel less nervous did cross my mind. Had he really done it to make me feel better? The bell cut off my thoughts, had it really been an hour already. I shamelessly didn't even paint anything. My next class was drama and luckily I remember Kate telling me she shared that lesson with me also. I eventually found my way to the drama studios and to say I was amazed would be an understatement. The high ceiling which was black with gold stars definitely caught my eye. A huge wooden stage was placed at the front with rows of red seats surrounding it. I joined the rest of the class when I spotted Kate calling me over. "This is Rosalie, the new girl I told you about" Kate told the two girls next to her. "Hey Rosalie, I'm Harriet" said the blonde girl "I'm Olivia" stated the other one "It's nice to meet you" I told them both "Anyway you any good at acting rose?" Kate asked me I should have answered yes and told them how I'm acting right now, I have to act everyday "I mean I wouldn't say I'm good, it's not something I've tried. Maybe you can all teach me" I suggested "Of course, I love acting. I'm actually going to college to study drama" Olivia told me "She tells everyone that but she hasn't even applied for any yet" Harriet clarified "She can dream, leave her be" laughed Kate I could tell the three girls were good friends and I just hope I would fit in too. The class went by pretty fast, although at the end the teacher who likes to be called Theodore told us we will be working in groups for the next assignment Kate looked very annoyed when she heard some boy called Jacob would be in our group. I asked her why and she just insisted it's because he is a jerk. Well that's me putting it nicely. I had decided to head to the canteen with Kate, Olivia and Harriet. I've managed to make 3 friends in just 2 days here. I felt quite proud.
