I had decided to take the day off school since Lilly was leaving today and I wanted to be there to say goodbye
"I'm going to miss you" she told me
"You won't have time to miss me, you will be busy with your family. Just have fun" I told her
"I will and when I come back I will tell you all about your kingdom"
"Goodbye Lilly"
"Goodbye arabella"
We hugged one last time then I watched her drive off.
What do I do now the rest of the day?
After spending a couple hours lounging around in the house I got bored so I got dressed and decided to head to shacks.
The girls were right, there milkshakes really were the best thing ever.
It took me a while to get there since I walked but it really is worth it.
I took a seat in one of the booths and decided to look through the menu even though I was most likely to get the same thing as I always did.
"Mummy, mummy lets sit here!"
A little girls voice caught my attention
I looked up to a family, the little girl with caramel hair ran over to a booth while the mum and dad followed behind holding hands while there young son sat happily on the mother's hip.
I smiled at the sight, how could you not when each of them were smiling to contently.
I couldn't help but wish for a family like that. Growing up I spent most of my time with Lydia or some other maids.
My mother never actually did what a normal mother did, she rarely nursed me, she never fed me or changed me. That was all done by someone else, some one who was paid to do it.
I never had any friends to play with so I had to play with the limited toys I had by myself in my bedroom.
I was ever allowed outside since I wasn't allowed to be seen until I learned my proper manors.
My childhood was lonely, it seemed to be missing something...love perhaps
Yet here I was sat alone, Lilly had to return to see her family who she loved dearly, but I had nothing to return too
The small bit of wind that came through once the door opened sent a chill down my spine.
What made it worse was that Isaac, robin, Jacob and Lucas walked in.
"Hey rose" Lucas called over
I smiled as I wiped my eyes quickly capturing the tears that threatened to escape.
"Why ain't you in school?" Robin asked
"Look at this little rebel over here" joked Jacob
"I could say the same about you" I replied
"Go take a seat guys" Came Isaac's voice
They each looked at each other then listened to what he said and walked towards their usual booth.
"What's wrong?" He asked placing both hands on the table and looking down at me
"N-nothing"
"I'm not going to pretend I didn't see them tears, so just cut to the chase" he stated
"I should probably head off" I quickly got up from the booth and walked out
"Your really going to make me follow you?"
"I'm not asking you to" I stated stopping in my tracks
"I'm not just going to leave you upset"
"And why's t-that?" I asked voice cracking
"Come on rose, just speak. You usually have no problem telling me what you think"
"It's complicated" I huffed
"Let me drive you home"
He led me towards his car, I didn't even know why I was trusting him.
I never expected when we met that day in shacks that I would be letting him drive me home
"Where am I driving too?" He asked
Once I explained the place we started moving. It was quiet at first but then I couldn't handle it.
I wanted to speak to him
"Lilly's gone...that's why I wasn't in school. I wanted to say bye"
"Gone where?" He asked
"Home, to visit family" I told him
"Home huh? Then why didn't you go too?"
"It's complicated"
"Apparently Everything with you seems to be"
"You wouldn't understand"
"And why's that?"
"I haven't got any reason to go back, no family to visit" I stated
"So your cousin has family but you don't? That makes sense doesn't it"
I hadn't even realised what I was saying, I can't slip up like this
"Like I said, it's complicated"
He then pulled up in front of my house and he cut the engine.
"Do you want to come in?" I randomly found myself asking
"Are you sure?"
"I don't want to be alone" I didn't even know where all the truth and bravery was coming from.
I unlocked the house door and walked inside with Isaac close behind.
