Kira POV
Dad gets up to walk Uncle Elliot to the door. "I am just going to talk with Kira for a few moments. I will be ready to leave in a couple of hours. Are you packed?"
"Yes, ready when you are Alpha," Uncle Elliot responds. I hear the door close and I know it is just Dad and I.
Dad comes to sit by me on the couch again.
"Why are you and Uncle Elliot leaving today? It's only a 4 hour drive," I ask Dad. "After the attack last night, Alpha Benjamin thought it was a good idea to bump up the Alpha summit. Apparently it is something bigger at play with these rogue attacks, but he would rather discuss it in person," Dad explains.
"Should I be prepared to leave with you? Do I need to be there too? I am the future Alpha, this concerns me too," I respond.
