Salem had been sitting at the dining table waiting for his lunch, but when he saw Marika carrying her suitcase and ready to leave, he got up, changed into his outdoor clothes and went. He left her standing at the door with her suitcase beside her. It was a dreadful scene - where would Marika go? The only place left for her was her parents’ home. It wasn’t the first time this had happened. Marika would sometimes become so upset she would threaten to leave and would even pack her suitcase so she’d be ready to go.
