Cael opened his eyes. The swarm was still coming, the low fast things still frantic, but the battlefield felt different. Slower. Clearer. He could feel the space around him, a sphere of awareness roughly twenty metres across, every creature within it registering as a point of pressure against his senses. He flexed the domain. The swarm stopped. Not by choice. The space around them had thickened, the distance between their bodies and his blade becoming something he controlled. Hollow Dominion pressed against them, the same spatial resistance Yuna had used against Sol Vance but cruder, newer, the first expression of a skill that would grow. He moved. Not fast. Not with Predator's Wind's accelerated linear rush. He simply stepped, and the space folded, and he was in the centre of the swarm
