Nathan pulls the car along the road, and we both climb out. Every Friday Tyler arranges a party at his house, because he lives alone with his younger brother. He invites the whole school, and we, being the most popular squad ever, are always attending his parties. Tyler is a very rich kid. Well, not as much as Nathan, but still. I walk over to Nathan, and frown when I see that he's lighting a cigarette. This is the thing I hate about him the most. His smoking habit. Why doesn't he get it that it's not good for his health? "Nathan, why do you smoke?" I've probably asked him this question a million times, but I always think he's lying. "Angel, I've told you a lot of times. It just satisfies me." I roll my eyes. He thinks I'm dumb. "Amber!" I look around to see the voice who called out my name, and smile when I see Liam. He jogs out of the front door of Tyler's house, and pulls me in a big hug. I wrap my arms around his neck, and chuckle. "God! You look so pretty, my beautiful best friend!" he compliments, pulling back and taking in my whole appearance. I blush lightly, because to be honest, I sorta have a tiny crush on Liam. Who wouldn't? He's cute and very possessive of me, just like Ashton. But Ash looks after all three of us. Veronica, Allysa, and me. Whereas, Liam is always around me. "Thanks, Liam," I reply him, grinning. "You're the one! Wohoooooo!" He sings dramatically. We both turn to look at Nathan, who's grinning like crazy, and I narrow my eyes at him. Can he ever act like a normal person?  ___________ I feel so left out. Argh! Why don't I ever drink? Why am I the most innocent girl ever? Why can't I allow myself to have a good one night, where I get drunk, and I don't need to worry about school and my future? Maybe because my mother has taught me to be a good girl. I watch as both my girl best friends, are dancing with some random guys from school, who are touching the girls in places I would never let anyone to. Maybe being drunk takes away your common sense? Well, how would I know. If you're wondering where I am, then lets tell you. So we're basically in the huge lounge, and I'm sitting in a corner, just enjoying the music, and the juice in my hand. Something catches my attention, and I look beside me to check what. It's Nathan, as usual talking to a girl around in the far opposite corner from where I am currently sitting. I watch as he pulls back, and tucks a strand of the girls blonde hair behind her ear, and whispers something in her ears that causes her to giggle. It feels like someone is stabbing me with a sharp knife, but I'm too numb to defend myself. What do they call it? Jealousy? *laughs sarcastically* And why would I get jealous about this scene? I know Nathan is ... Nathan, and we have always been friends since childhood. I have watched how he turned into a bad boy over the past few years. The only girl who has been on a date more than once with Nathan is his mother's best friends daughter.  Rosie. Whatever he's doing, it is definitely not okay. We have to be good humans, control our desires and wait for the best and appropriate time to come. Because life is not about being rebellious. It is about making the right decisions so after death, Paradise awaits us.  As if sensing my jealousy, and the pain radiating through my body, his head snaps in my direction, and I hold my breath. Our eyes lock, and suddenly it feels like the oxygen has been sucked out of the room. The blonde grins at him, and says something, trying to get his attention but he pushes her away, and marches towards me. What! No!  Why is he coming over? The music changes into a slow beat, and I mentally curse. Why this song now? Why! As Nathan reaches me, he holds out a palm in my direction. I frown at his hand, then look up. "I don't do palm reading." He chuckles. "Lets dance." I shake my head. "I don't do this stuff, and you know that." "You're at a party, Amber. If you expect just to sit in a corner, then it's really unbecoming." I shrug. "Whatever." I watch as he smiles his dazzling smile that cannot be compared to anything. I pass him a friendly one and he walks away with a slight bow. But, he stops and comes back to me. I raise a brow. "Do you know what's the most attractive thing about you, Angel?" "What?" I ask. I hold my breath. "That you've never been with a man. That you're pure, and innocent. That you would never let anyone know anything about you. That you trust me with your life. That doing good deeds is so simple for you. You really believe in a life after death, don't you?" I try to hide my surprise with a sigh. "Yes, Nathan. There's a whole never ending life after this, this life is temporary. Don't you want to earn Paradise?" "Obviously. Who wouldn't?" And I just flash him a small smile.
