The pain in my head is worsening by every time I try to peel my eyes open. I want to move, but I feel like I am paralysed. Where am I? I don't know why I cannot move, and the thought alone is killing me. After an eternity of trying, my eyes finally fly open, but it takes me a couple of minutes to adjust to the bright light. The nauseous smell of the hospital room engulfs me in its presence. Hospitals have always made me feel sick. There are a few monitors by my sides, some kind of pipes and wires attached to my arms. The door flies open, and my mom bursts in with tears in her soft eyes. I smile a little despite how I feel. I am in pain, yes, but most of all, I'm confused. How the hell did I get here?
