The bell dings.
I open the door, and manage a small smile on my face when Veronica comes into my view. I won't lie that I'm not happy to see her, because I'm am. I seriously don't want to be alone. I know Nathan is with me and I he's enough to protect me from my nightmares, but it would feel better to have a bit noise in the house.
"Hey, Beautiful!" She chirps happily, and blows a kiss at me.
I step aside. "Hi, gorgeous. Come in," I reply back, and she plants a kiss on my cheek before striding in.
We walk into the lounge, and I narrow my eyes at Nathan when he rolls his eyes at Veronica. Thank God, she didn't notice. He needs to stop acting all mean to her. He always is. But then again, he's mean to everyone except me. Okay maybe a few times to me, too.
