“well even if you’re right brother you need an army, and shame there is nothing you can do about that.” Anwir whilst looking somewhere, Adonis followed his gaze and saw his legion training below and an idea popped into his head “maybe there is..” he took another look at them before marching off, Anwir shouted after him “don’t do anything stupid with a look of concern.
“when have I ever?” was all Adonis said before he disappeared, with his disappearance, the look on Anwir’s face changed into a smirk “too easy”.
NOW
Prince Adonis had gathered all his men without drawing his father’s attention. The men were all confused as to why they were summoned secretly and began to murmur amongst themselves, they came up with various theories as to why they were called even some wild ones until finally the Prince spoke.
“Men, knights of the Greylan empire, you are the bravest and strongest of the land. We have marched into battle countless times, fought many wars. We achieved so many glorious feats, the bards are still not done singing our tales!” all the knights shouted in acknowledgement, proud smiles appearing on all their faces as they remembered their feats.
“But it seems our enemies have forgotten all about us. They invade our lands! They slaughtered our people, and have the gall to lay claim to our lands! They think that because they are Empires they are untouchable that they are invincible, is that true?” “NO!!!” “what are we?!” “wolves!!” “and what happens when you go against the pack?!” “ THEY WILL BLEED!!”
“Today I march against the empire, to make those lizards pay in blood! Who is with me?!” “Me!!!” “for our families! For our brothers! For Greylan!”
“For Greylan!!!”
“Today we march. Today we show the entire world, when you mess with the wolf!”
“you get the teeth!!!” Adonis’ speech had every knight fired up and ready for battle, seeing all these he turned to three other knights who were his friends and had been with him since his first campaign.
“It seems we are heading to battle once more friends”, Adonis spoke to them with a smile. The one on the left burst out laughing, he was a big man whose figure gave of the impression all he did was eat, his long brown hair was braided to his shoulders and his beard went all the way down to his chest, “as long as you remember to prepare a feast after, you can invite to as many battles as you want.” As he finished he burst out laughing once more.
“Don’t listen to this fool all Bjorn thinks about is food.” One of the others spoke up he was dressed in fine armor waving his spear, his blond hair and clean shaven appearance made him quite attractive. “Bah…it’s better than a fool who thinks solely with his waist.” Bjorn decided to mock him causing all of them to burst out laughing, “hahaha, well Bjorn and Riley are on board, what about you Geoffrey? Are you willing to follow this prince out to battle once more?” “geez when you put it like that, how could I bare to refuse you my prince.” Geoffrey replied sporting his armor with his sword at his side, his red fiery hair and his expression told plenty of his mischief.
After their preparations all the knights had jumped on their horses, the prince and his close friends jumped on their dire wolves which were as big as horses and marched through the woods avoiding all prying eyes. Unknown to any of them in a tower above, Anwir stood watching them leave with a sinister grin plastered unto his face “goodbye brother.”
…
Far away on a mountain hidden from the rest pf the world lay a castle. The castle was built in such a way, it seemed as though the castle was naturally formed as a part of the mountain and gave of an ethereal feeling as though detached from the mortal world. The only way in or out of the castle was a bridge which connected the lone peak to the rest of the world. The bridge in itself was an architectural marvel it was supported by pillars which seemed to be mountain peaks turned upside down, it was as though a god tore down the mountain peaks and threw them down to support the bridge, the whole bridge gave of the feeling that it was as old as time itself.
In one of the many rooms of the castle lay a child, covered in bandages from head to toe, his chest moving up and down in a rhythmic manner. The child was none other than our protagonist Tyler.
I awoke with a jerk as I looked around taking in my surroundings confused as to where I was. All I remembered was trying to battle the huntsman, well that is if you call getting beat without being able to do a thing a battle, then I blanked out.
As my mind went into overdrive, the door opened revealing the huntsman “your up, good if you didn’t wake up I would have throne your body into the lake.” The huntsman spoke in a voice that said he probably woke up not long ago himself, “where am I?” I asked still confused as to where I was exactly .
He leaned against the door frame and spoke up, “ I gave you a test and you passed.” With his words the realization dawned on me “you mean…” “this place has seen countless generations of huntsmen, there was a time where countless young people came over for an opportunity to become a huntsman… this place is where I learnt all I know, this is my home. Welcome to the academy welcome to the Hunt.”
