Chloe’s POV Flynn’s laughter filled the quiet room, breaking through the walls I’d ride to build around myself. I watched from a distance as I rested myself on the frame of the kitchen door as Lucas played with him on the floor. With each day that draws by, he seems more alive, more connected, and more curious about the world around him. He was babbling endlessly with spit bubbles forming at the corner of his lips, reaching out to grab things within his reach like Lucas's hair. The once fragile body was now waxing stronger, it was a heartwarming sight to always behold. It was indeed such a beautiful thing to see, but I'm supposed to be taking a step back and immersing myself deeply in the moments so I don't get too attached. Getting too attached to him would make my feelings grow more
