Chloe’s POV
“Thirty minutes”
That was all it took for Lucas to have my mood spoiled without hesitation. The repeated buzzing of my phone in my purse snapped me out of the little random thought in my head.
“Where are you?” Lucas bass voice hit my ear just as I answer the phone.
“Are you okay?” Lucas surprisingly sounded panicked from the other end of the call. But what I couldn't understand was why he sounded utterly bothered over nothing.
"Yes?" I answered unsurely.
“I heard there's been an accident on your route, I'm calling to be sure you're okay,” He hurriedly said.
I paused with my jaws dropped slightly, staring into the wall in front of me. Trying to figure out how the hell that had anything to do with me.
Remembering I’d indeed seen a car surrounded by onlookers I wondered
