Mia was taken aback by what Jaxon told her. Was he indirectly telling her how he felt about Genevieve? Her insides warmed pleasantly. He wanted to stay with her instead.
But, she couldn't do that. It was unfair. Genevieve wouldn't be the only one disappointed. How would Jace and Jackson feel about it?
Jaxon saw the storm on her face. He could tell that she wanted to hold on. He wanted her to hold on too. Why was she holding back?
“You know you can't…” Mia began trailing off. “They're waiting for you as we speak. It wouldn't be nice if you just canceled and stayed with me.”
