Amelia’s POV
Eve remained calm. “We were fortunate that Amelia has some healing ability. She was an essential support in helping to save your life. Now, she is assisting me.”
Sienna straightened. “But I’m your apprentice! You can’t replace me with her!”
This was a mistake. I knew I should have waited outside.
“I can have more than one apprentice,” Eve said, still calm even in the face of Sienna’s outburst. It was amazing to watch. This Healer had nerves of steel, shouting didn’t seem to rattle her at all. “When you are well again, you will still have a place as my apprentice. So long as you learn to control your temper.”
Sienna paled slightly, then she slouched.
As Eve approached her, I thought it best to stay back by the door. Let Eve take the lead on this one for now. Eve seemed to
