I waited with bated breath for the warriors to return to the capital from the southern stretches. The early scouts reported that it had been a fierce battle lasting through the night and even well into the morning. There had even been a few casualties.
Yet our brave warriors, led by our fearless Alpha managed to push back the invaders and defend the pack lands.
I was so proud.
I placed my hand on my belly, smiling softly. My child had the blood of heroes in his veins. Someday, he too, would be a great leader of the pack, taking after his father. Once Damien finally realized I was right for the role of Luna, he would leave that human tramp and make me his bride. Then my child could be proud of me as well.
