Amelia’s POV Hoping to please everyone, I sat down to dinner. With Mom and Dad sitting on the other side of the table, the only open spot was the one directly next to Ian. “How are you tonight, Annette?” Ian asked. “Well, thank you. And you?” “I’m doing better, seeing you. I’m so glad that Alpha Jake invited me.” I glanced past him, looking at Jake, who smiled like he was pleased by this polite interaction.
