The local ranger muttered under his breath, left his snowmobile, and dropped to the ground beside the tent flap to smell the air more closely. His expression changed instantly. "Oh hell. Something's wrong with that smell!" His rough, weathered shout cut through the wind. Ethan was sitting in a wind shelter drinking hot coffee. At the commotion, he frowned in irritation, stood, and walked over. "This doesn't concern you. Get back to your rounds. There's just a student in there throwing a tantrum and pretending to pass out.
