Derrick’s POV
After leaving Salara, I spent the rest of my afternoon preparing for the full moon. Thanks to the interruption that was her husband, I didn’t have a chance to talk to Salara about Henry’s behaviour after he left the Evergreen Pack two weeks ago, though I am pretty sure that the aggression that comes from being a wolf hit him while he was away.
Hunter has given me the silent treatment since leaving Salara’s room in the clinic, blaming me for the state that our mate is in. Not that I can really blame him because I have been beating myself up since the moment I learned about Salara’s attack a week ago.
How could I be so foolish to allow him to take her back home with him? I should have insisted that she stay behind, or at least ordered that he move into the pack right away
