CHAPTER NINE

335 Words
MAXWELL STERLING'S POV I finally came back to New York. It was time for me to visit the company and see how everything was going. The next day, I woke up earlier than usual. For some reason, I was kind of excited about today. I didn't know why I felt so happy, but it was a good thing. I got dressed and headed downstairs. My driver opened the car door for me. “Good morning, sir,” he greeted me. “Good morning,” I replied. He looked shocked, like he wasn't expecting me to answer him. I ignored his reaction, entered the car, and we drove off. When we arrived at the hospital, I stepped out of the car and walked inside. As usual, everybody was looking at me. I didn't care. I just wanted to get to my office. I had a lot of work to do. I called Ethan. “Ethan, bring me my coffee.” “Yes, sir,” he replied. I was about to enter the elevator when suddenly, somebody ran past me and entered the elevator. I looked up and was shocked. It was her. The crazy girl. --- AMELIA ROSE'S POV I was so sorry for being late. Karen and I had a lot of fun last night, and I ended up waking up late. The hangover was still doing me. I quickly ran into the hospital. I couldn't afford to be late again. As I was rushing through the hallway, I saw the elevator and quickly ran inside. I didn't even bother to check who was already there. I was just trying to get to work as quickly as possible. But when I finally looked up, I froze. It was that handsome stranger. And there was a strong, muscular-looking man standing beside him. I looked at them both. Oh my God! I think I just entered the boss's elevator. Am I dead? I swallowed hard and stood quietly in the corner. Please, let this elevator open quickly.
