Chapter eight: Missing him (True love part 1)

It's been almost a year now, I haven't been living with the Furukawa's. I wonder how much they changed. Kairo and I are still together of course but I haven't seen him since he left for Shanghai a year ago.
I was busy with school but when I had the time, I decided to spend all of my time, by visiting the brothers. The house was busy as ever and all the guest seemed happy. I set down in the lounge and read until one of the brothers came.
Once the brothers found out I was here; They immediately hugged me as if I had ran away from home. They all looked so different with their new robes and hair styles. Haru had dyed his hair back to it's natural state. His hair was longer about shoulder length and he had a pink flower held behind his ear. Chris also had black hair. It was kind of difficult to tell them apart now. Blaine's hair color was the same but his hair now was neck length. Shane still had his curly hair but it was much shorter than before.
"Wow you guys look so different now!" I said excitedly.
"Well what about you? you cut your hair!" Blaine said.
"You look like a 13 year old boy." Chris added.
"Well I love it! It looks very cute on you Mai!" Haru laughed.
I looked around for a bit and then I asked, "So have you guys heard anything from Kairo?"
All their faces frowned and then Shane said, "Sorry Mai not since he left. Anyways what's going on with you?"
"Nothing much just the same old me." I said.
I spent the entire day with the brothers. It wasn't the same without Kairo there and I completely forgot that Cult left for paris. Sometimes I wonder he's doing.
Cult: *good to be home!*
"Hey guys I'll be back, I have to pick someone at the airport." Said Shane.
Mai: is it Kairo?!
Haru: you're so sprung!
Shane: I have to go see you guys.
Shane returned a few hours later and to my surprise Cult was with him. His hair was shorter and silky. He was even hotter than he was before! He dropped his things on the ground and headed for a group hug with his brothers. He walked over towards me and I felt as though I was frozen. I couldn't move and I immediately stood silent when he spoke to me.
"Mai?! Did you hear me? I said I'm home." He said.
Mai: Yeah I know..
Immediately my eyes just started balling. Tears were running down my face. I couldn't believe that everything that happened; Cult was actually standing in front of me. In that moment I just thought about everything that happened that year.
"I guess she's still in shock!" Chris said.
Cult: Well give me a hug Mai! (Hugs her)
Mai: It's good to have you back Cult!
Cult: Did you miss me?
Haru: She didn't miss you at all! Right Mai?!
All the brothers laughed. I scratched my head and went into the kitchen.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Cult asked.
Blaine: nothing they're just clowning around. Hey I made some changes to the place, let me show you.
Now that Cult's back it's a little awkward now and I'm glad no one has told him about Kairo and me.
Mai: So Cult tell me about Paris and how's Sophie?
Cult: Paris I can talk about. Sophie? Let's not talk about her?
Mai: There you go being a jerk again.
Cult: How is that being a jerk? All I said was that I don't want to talk about her.
Mai: Did you two breakup?
Cult: Sort of...
Mai: Why?
Cult: I really don't want to talk about it.
Mai: Okay, I won't ask anymore. It's none of my business.
Cult: You know something's different about you.
Mai: really? I feel the same. Are you sure you haven't changed?
Cult: I don't know maybe it's the hair. But I only say that because the old you would have pressured me to know why Sophie and I broke up.
Mai: Well I'm not the same old Mai from before. While you were gone I completely moved on from you.
Cult: Oh really?
It got really awkward and silent until Cult decided to speak out again, "So um do you have a boyfriend?"
Mai: As a matter of fact I do! He's really sweet and charming.
Cult: Anybody I know?
Mai: Shoot look at the time. I have to go home!
Cult: Home?
Mai: yeah I don't live here anymore, I live with my mom now. Later Cult and again it's good to have you back.
Shane: Feels different being home huh? Still stuck in Paris time?
Cult: Since when was Mai living with her mother?
Shane: Oh it's been a while now. Well you should get some sleep now buddy. You have to get use to our time zone.
Cult: Yeah goodnight...
Afterschool I headed to the Furukawa's along with the company of Mimi. Basically she only came along to see Blaine. When we got there the brothers were just fixing up the house. Mimi rushed over to Blaine and made-out with him. It was gross and sweet at the same time and I started to miss Kairo.
Cult: Hey what's the matter?
Mai: huh!? Oh it's nothing.
Cult: so where's this boyfriend you mentioned?
Mai: oh the tea's ready.
Cult: Mai why are you ignoring me?
Mai: I'm not. I'll go give everyone the tea.
Soon as I was about to give tea to everyone; the door brushed open and in walked Kairo. All I saw was a glowing light around him. He was still beautiful and his hair was still long but a little shorter. He was just as I remembered him. I was so happy and excited to have him back, I ran to him not caring about his brothers welcoming him home.
Mai: Kairo I missed you.
Kairo: I missed you too babe.
Kairo kissed me passionately and my body quivered. I wrapped my arms around him deeply going in with the kiss and I didn't care who was watching. (Glass breaks)
Cult: What the hell is this?!

Cult: What the hell is this?!
Kairo: You're back now?
Cult: since when were you two together?
Kairo: Mai didn't tell you? We're officially together now, we even had s*x.
Mai: Kairo! Why would you say that? That's something we should keep between us.
Kairo: Everyone else knows, so why shouldn't Cult?
Cult: what?
Haru: It's true we do. I actually walked in on them once.
Cult just stared at the two of us. He mumbled something and then he headed towards the kitchen. I was starting to get a bad feeling about this...
After Kairo returned Cult haven't spoke two words to me. It's like he was mad at me for some reason.
Mai: Are you mad at me or something?
Cult: what makes you say that?
Mai: well for the last two days you haven't spoken to me.
Cult: I'm talking to you now aren't I?
Mai: only because I said something to you.
Cult: Well what do you want me to say?
Mai: Anything it doesn't matter!
Cult: Fine! I'm just going to come out and say it: You and Kairo? Like I said before you two don't fit!
Mai: What? Cult you sound like you're jealous.
Cult: I am! You want to know the reason why Sophie and I broke up? It's because I couldn't stop thinking about you. Mai I like you okay. I liked you for a while now.
Mai: But if you liked me, why did you act like you didn't?
Cult: At the time I guess I didn't want to admit my feelings but I'm telling you now.
Cult grabbed my waist and pulled me into him. He lend into me for a kiss. A part of me, that same part I pushed away wanted this but I couldn't. I worked so hard to get over him and I wasn't going to let what Kairo and I have go to waste.
Mai: I'm sorry Cult but I really like Kairo. I'm happy to know that you have feelings for me but it's too late now.
Cult: do you really mean that?
Kairo: yeah she does so back off little brother. She's taken!
Mai: Kairo...
Kairo: I mean it Cult. Stay away from my girl! You could've had her but you pushed her away.
Cult: But I'm back now and I'm making it clear to you! I want Mai and I'm going to take her!
Ok what in the world is happening right now? Don't I get a say in all this? In a way I kind of liked the attention I was getting because I never felt that before. But then again I'm not a prize to be won over.
Mai: Ok guys cut it out! Cult I'm sorry but I really like Kairo. He was there for me when you deserted me.
Cult: That was before I knew my feelings for you! But Mai I'm telling you. I really really love you!
Kairo: Well you're too late brother. You should've stayed when she begged you. You wanted to go and run to that floozy! I knew you were going to get hurt!
Cult: You don't know anything about it! Sophie didn't hurt me! I hurt her...
Kairo: It doesn't matter because Mai is off limits to you! Let's go Mai.
Ever since Cult's return, Kairo has been acting strange. He's barely speaking to me and whenever Cult enters the room, he would aggressively kiss me. I don't like that. Well I like kissing him, in fact I love it but not if I'm being used a pawn for him to make Cult jealous.
Mai: Kairo? I'm just on my way out but I wanted to talk to you first.
Kairo: go ahead...
Mai: I just wanted to tell that I don't want you and Cult to fight.
Kairo: This is between me and my brother. You don't need to get involved.
Mai: I'm already involved aren't I?! Kairo I love you and I want to be with you not Cult.
Kairo: That's the first time I ever heard you say that.
Mai: what?
Kairo: That you love me...
Mai: oh yeah well-
Kairo grabbed me and kissed me gently, I wrapped my arms around him as he took off my blouse. We passionately kissed, while we slowly made our way to his bed. Kairo's hands were so soft, I missed the feel of him touching my body. We made love and I've never felt more close to him.
Mai: Cult?
Cult: You're just now leaving? I thought you left hours ago.
Mai: It's not really any of your business whether I stay here or not.
Cult: To hell it is! I'm in love with you! What part of that do you not get! I don't want you with Kairo!
Mai: Well that's not your decision to make! I love Kairo.
Cult: No you don't! You're just using that as an excuse! There's no way; you were so in love with me and now you love Kairo?
Mai: you were gone for an entire year! It's possible for me to get over you! Now goodbye!
Cult: let's go!
Mai: let go of me! Where are you taking me?!
