--------------------------------SIX MONTHS LATER----------------------------------------
Nalla was finally ready for her training. Her graduation was two months ago,so now she was about to meet my employers. And some other not that nice guys. I can bet on my life that she will hate some of them.
When we told her parents that we are leaving country for a while, they were against it. But she was sonn to be 18 so she could make her own decisions. Eventually, thay realised that we were serious about the trip and they gave us their blessing. I thought that her mom will open my skull like a champagne bottle. She was a scary woman. I made a promice that she will be safe and that nothing bad will happen to her.
It was wendsday morning,we packed our bags and the journey could begin. She was prety much nervous. Cracking her fingers all the way there. I've tryed to talk to her,I've tryed to make her sing... Anything to relax her,but I couldn't.
"Babygirl, look at me." I said when I finally pulled a side. "Just, look at me and listen,ok?" she nodded her head after few seconds. "They don't bite. Yeah, sure, you'll be under magnifier for couple of days, but as soon as you blend in the will leave you alone. Egon is waiting us there, some of the guys you will meet are dorks but you'll learn to live with them. There will be some hard days, but you will make it. I know you will."
"What if I fail? Maybe I'm not good enough."
"Never, ever say that again. I've trained you to perfection. Their training is a bit harder but you can handle it. You will work with them and one day it's gonna be you and me again." I smiled at her and leaned for a kiss.
She was still worried, but the tension was going away slowely. When she sighed it was my sign to continue with driving. We stopped for a coffe and breakfast and we talked about everything that was on her mind. And there was a lot of s**t. I underastimated her. She was stronger then I thought.
After six hours of silent trip,I showed her the outlinings of the camp. It was a large facility made of hangars and few high buildings, mostly gray stone and glass. She looked amazed by the view in front. That will be her life for next couple of months. I showed her some bars that are close to the camp, where we usually go to relax every once in a while.
At the gates we had to show our passports to the guard and he looked at us whit a smirk.
"Fresh blood, huh?" he smiled to Nalla. "Well, you are old enough."
"She'll be a good change in our world, you'll see." I told him when he returned our passports to me. "Are they ready?"
"Jumping in anticipation. Go! Don't let them wait and don't let her change her mind." he smiled again and saluted us as we drove off.
"Who's expecting us?" she asked.
"Egon, Demian, Dorian, Dimitri and Luca. They are the first you get to know, tomorrow we will meet whit some of the teachers and elders."
"Will you be there?"
"I will stay as long as you need me to. Your name will be Loona."
"My name is Nalla. If you remember."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Geryon. But Nalla is on the other side of the gates. Here you are Loona, for everyone but me."
"And how are you going to call me?"
"Sweetheart, baby doll, cupcake... I'll figure it out."
When I stopped by the entrance she squeezed my hand in a death grip. Boys will be nice to her and she will be able to do what ever she wants in her spare time, but now she has to walk through the jungle. I helped her to get out of the car and wrapped my arm around her back.
"Breath in and keep your head up high. You can make it, baby." I told her when we got to the door.
And she did it. She walked through the crowd with all of her courage. People were staring at her and we could hear some questions from them, some whistles... She was marching forward like she was the One. And she was. I lead her to the office where Egon and the others were waiting for us.
"It's time to make new friends, little one. Show them who is the real boss." I smiled and opened the door.
As we walked in,the yelling and swearing ended. Egon smiled and Nalla went straight into his hug. When I came close to them she was back in my arms. Dorian looked like he saw a ghost but he was back with his smirk in no time.
"Guys, this is Loona. Birth name Nalla. Find the way of training her, but not to demolish her." I said to them. "Loona, this is Dimitri. He is your shooting trainer ." I said and she politely nodded at him.
"I'm Demien. I'm your combat trainer. Cheer up, we don't bite." he smiled and tucked the strain of her hair from her face.
"Loona, I'm Dorian. I will teach you how to read blueprints. One of the boring things." he sighed. "But, at least I am the cute one here."
"I'm Luca. Remember that everything here ends in salty water."
"Oh,stop that bullshit. You'll end up in salty water."
"Now it's my turn." she said. "Nice to meet you, guys. I'm not sure what will happen till the end of our time together, but I do hope that we will have a good time. In tears or in the sea, wright Luca?" she smiled at him and we all could see his smirk. "Don't think that you can make me weak."
"Take a rest, Loona.. Geryon. Tomorrow you will be put on a long training. It's good to have you here."
"It's good to be here, old man." she smiled and hugged him.
"Geryon, take this young lady to your room. You do know that you two will share the room, right?"
"There was no other option."
"Yeah, so... Don't be late tomorrow."
After the meeting we went to our room. In neighbouring rooms were Dimitri and Dorian. Hell, we couldn't have a separate wing for ourselves... Too many boys around us.
While she took the showerI prepared us coffee. I needed to hear what her little brain was up to. And I set there on our bed and waited.
Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives.
