He leans against the car, a cocky grin spreading across his face as he takes in her less-than-thrilled expression. "Now is that any way to greet your favorite person?" He chuckles, reaching up to tap Winter's nose playfully. "Come on, princess. I thought we were past this whole 'I hate Zane' thing. After all, you seemed pretty into me during the kiss cam." His eyes gleamed with mischief, daring her to deny it. "Besides, I came out here to apologize. Properly this time. For, you know, stealing a kiss and all that jazz." He runs a hand through his hair, looking sheepish for all of five seconds before his usual smirk slips back into place. "So what do you say, sunshine? Can we call a truce? At least until the next time I piss you off?" Winter sighed deeply, before looking at him and thinking for a moment as her gaze turned on her gas tank behind the steering wheel, revealing that it was empty. "Fine, I'll call it a truce, but first you need to fill up my tank it's out of gas." He blinks, caught off guard by the sudden request. Then a slow, wicked grin spread across his face. "Well, well, well. Looks like the Ice Queen needs a helping hand after all." He pushes off the car, sauntering around to the passenger side with a spring in his step. As he settles into the seat beside Winter, he turns to face her fully, one arm draped casually over the back of the bench. "You know, I never thought I'd see the day when you were actually asking me for something. Color me impressed, princess." He drawls, his eyes sparkling with mirth and something else, something darker and more intense. He reaches out, trailing a finger along her jawline, his touch feather-light and electrifying. "But I'm afraid I can't just give you what you want. Not without getting something in return." His voice drops to a low purr, sending shivers down her spine despite herself. "So tell me, Winter. What are you willing to offer in exchange for my generosity?" "Of course, you're not going to accept something without asking for a return. As usual" Winter replied and sighed deeply, crossing her arms and rolled her eyes. "Fine, if that's what it gets to fill up my tank, you f*cking horny bastard." His eyes light up with triumph and dark promise as she agrees to his terms. He leans in closer, his lips brushing against the shell of Winter's ear as he whispers. "That's more like it, sunshine. I knew you'd see things my way eventually." His hand slides from Winter's jaw to the nape of her neck, tangling in her hair. "As for what I want in return..." He nips at her earlobe, sending a jolt of sensation straight to her core. "How about a little taste of what I missed out on earlier?" Before Winter can react, he's closing the distance, capturing her lips in a searing kiss. His tongue delves into her mouth, claiming her, possessing her in a way that leaves no room for doubt about who's in control here. He kisses her until they're both breathless, until her head is spinning and her body is aching for more. Then he pulls back with a satisfied smirk, his thumb brushing over her kiss-swollen bottom lip. "There. I think that was a fair trade, don't you?" Winter looks at him and glared at him, crossing her arms in annoyance, but she didn't wipe her lips this time. He throws his head back and laughs, the sound rich and deep and filled with genuine amusement. "Oh, I love it when you get all huffy and demanding like this. It's so cute." He gives her lip a final, lingering caress before finally releasing her and climbing out of the car. He rounds the hood to the gas tank, popping it open with a flourish. "Now don't you worry your pretty little head about a thing, princess. Prince Zane's got you covered." He winks, inserting the nozzle and starting to pump the gas with a little too much enthusiasm. As the numbers climb higher and higher, he keeps up a steady stream of teasing commentary. "You know, I've always wondered what it would be like to have you at my mercy like this. To have you needing something from me, even if it's just a tank of gas." He glances over at her, his eyes glinting with mischief and something darker. ''Maybe next time we should make it a little more interesting, hmm? Like, you have to beg for it. Or better yet, do something nice for me in return." Winter rolled her eyes and walked out of the car, leaning against the door and crossing her arms as she waited for her tank to fill up when chaos started to unfold in front of their eyes. The people inside the stadium started panicking and ran outside. She straightened up her posture before walking towards the chaos until her eyes landed on a man growling, and his eyes were already colored white before the man consumed a human, biting their neck off to the point that it drew blood. She was stunned in place, as she recalled something like that in the movie a zombie they called is slowly happening to them. He follows her gaze, his own eyes widening in shock as he takes in the scene unfolding before them. The man's feral growls, the blood, the panicked screams of the fleeing crowd — it's like something out of a horror movie. But there's no denying the reality of it. Of the way the man's eyes have gone completely white, the way he tears into the flesh of his victim with inhuman strength and savagery. He feels his stomach turn, a chill running down his spine. This can't be happening. It has to be some kind of sick joke, some elaborate prank. Right? But as more infected people start to emerge from the stadium, their movements jerky and unnatural, he knows he can't afford to waste time questioning it. He has to act, and fast. Zane grabs Winter's arm, dragging her backwards towards her car. "Get in, now." He barks, his voice rough with urgency and fear. "We need to get the f**k out of here before we end up like them.' He shoves her into the driver's seat, not giving her a chance to argue. As he runs around to the passenger side, he casts one last look over his shoulder at the growing horde of infected, his heart hammering in his chest. "This is bad, Winter. Really f*cking bad." Winter quickly revived the engine, glad that the gas was full, before driving off the scene, panic settling on her. She can't take off from her mind the scene where that man devours another human being, blood flying across the floor and the way that their body was ripped open. The scene of the blood makes her grip the steering wheel tighter and the fact that blood is her greatest weakness, trying the shake off the scene on her mind as panic starts to consume her slowly. He grips the oh-s**t handle as she speed out of the gas station, his knuckles turning white. The adrenaline is pumping through his veins, making his heart race and his head spin. He risks a glance out the back window, his stomach dropping as he sees the horde of infected pouring out of the stadium, their movements gaining speed and coordination by the second. "F*ck, f*ck, f*ck." He mutters under his breath, his mind racing to process what's happening. This is so far beyond anything he could have ever imagined. Zombies. Actual f*cking zombies, in real life. He turns back at Winter, noting the tight set of her jaw, the way her hands are clenched around the wheel. He reaches out, placing a hand on her thigh in what he hopes is a reassuring gesture. "Hey. Hey, look at me," he says softly, waiting for her to tear her gaze away from the road for just a second. "We're going to be okay. We're going to figure this out. But right now, we need to focus on getting somewhere safe." His eyes flicker back to the rear-view mirror, his heart sinking as he sees more cars joining the mass exodus, adding to the chaos. "Do you have any ideas? Anywhere we can go that might be secure?"
