"Are you ready to retake the alpha position?" I asked him.
"Very soon," Erix nodded. " I need to get in touch with the pack first."
"That being the reason for today," I stated in understanding.
"Yeah."
I jumped up from my seat with much enthusiasm and grinned. I would surely take it if Erix were willing to show around and include me in the pack business. I was eager to get to know everyone better, and this would be the best way.
"Okay, great. Let's go."
"Wait," he said, holding his hand up to stop me from getting too excited. "I kinda want to talk to you about something first."
His voice seemed tense, which, in turn, made me wary of his next words. I wouldn't say I liked the tense moment with him as much as the others. He's too serious and Alpha-like. I guess I would have
