CHAPTER 5
The next thing on my to-do list was to get my affairs sorted in South Africa.
The following day, I took a direct flight from Frankfurt to Johannesburg. My bank had its headquarters down there. And my boss his office, although I was actually located in Cape Town.
On the plane down, I let my thoughts wandered over the job I'd taken on and what the cost would be for me professionally. In the ten years I'd been with the bank, I had moved up the ranks and didn't want to lose any seniority. I'd started in Frankfurt, done a brief stint in Johannesburg and, finally, been posted to Cape Town. A city I loved.
