Race's eyes lock with mine the moment I enter. He rises from his seat on the stainless steel bench and strides towards me, handing me a face mask.
"Tinawag na ba tayo?" I ask.
He shakes his head, and his expression is serious. "Wear this. It's risky to go here unprotected,"
I accept his face mask and wear it right away. Pinanood ko naman syang isuot ang kaniya bago ako iginiya sa pwesto na iniwan niya.
"I can't believe that I am really doing this," I murmur as my eyes wander around.
"Then let me apologize if I was seduced by you at that time. I can't really help it...especially if you were the one who asked for it," I hear him say.
I furrow my brows in confusion. "Pardon?"
His voice is a kind of muffled because of the mask, so I didn't hear him properly.
