21 Eli didn’t know how this conversation had gone from a disaster to the equivalent of a nuclear meltdown, with everything spiraling out of control. The idea had seemed like a good one at the time—he couldn’t focus on anything with Adeline on set. He’d kept thinking about how she was standing so close, yet so far, and wondering if she still smelled like a mixture of citrus and chocolate.
